I agree it used to mean something when you made it to state. I also believe you should seed the top four, worst case senario top 2. But in the society we live in today we will never see state return to 16 man bracket. 1) we cant hurt little jonnys feelings by not letting him compete in the state tourny because getting his teeth kicked in by a 1 seed wont embaress him more. 2) Its all money driven, the longer we are in Frankfort the more hotel rooms we rent, more food we consume, ect.

Don't worry if they get postponed they will reschedule for july... Oh wait there might be a heat wave going on the high schools would be forced to close the door for fear of those without air conditioning in thier cars and might pass out in there travels to the location...

I agree with Pioneer. There are not many kids in the state who could place in both middle school and high school. There comes a time in life when you must make a tough decision this is one of them. Three weeks is a long time to wait for state. Lets get it done.

Lol True its been a long day and I'm not a money oriented person.

One question... Why is state duals so late in the season? When I wrestled in the mid to late 90's I'm pretty sure it was earlier in the season. Also I think the state should return to the Districts, Region, and State format with a sixteen man bracket. I hear these arguments about how do you exclude these kids that work so hard to get here but in my opinion they either didn't work hard enough or arn't good enough to be there. I know im going to get some flack for the last comment but i'm tired of this every child deserves something crap that todays society preaches. I'm not trying to insult people or piss anyone off just my thoughts on the matter.

I remember in 97 two guys from Henry Clay did the same for senior dance. Both were in the finals.

In northern KY they are predicting a dusting thursday morning and thats it so i doubt northern KY schools will be closed.

Kenton County is open enrollment you just have to pick a school and stick with it.
