Who said ervin isn't wrestling middle school?

Yes he beat Mike Hooker from McCallie. Hooker teched Aaron Carr in the finals of this tournament last year.

Union County had 4 champions: 103- Brock Ervin pinned his man in the finals 130- #6 seed Keaton Thomas beat the #1,2, and 3 seed wrestlers to win his weight class. 135- Isaac Thomas won 140- Caleb Ervin beat nationally ranked wrestler 10-5 in the finals.

I want to see a Garth and Brock match. Brock has won the last two while garth won the first two. I heard over the summer that Brock pretty much worked garth and dominated when they were at a camp. I don't know for sure but that is just what I heard. It could all be a lie but that middle schooler just pinned the #2 ranked 103 in illinois saturday after pinning his way to the finals.

How did brock ervin at 103 look? What was his record on the day? I know he was undefeated going into the duals.

He wrestled at Evansville (IN) Harrision Ten Way Duals two weeks ago and went 9-0. Coach Walls said since they are from out of state and was invited to that tournament that he is allowed to wrestle. I assume this was the same situation for the Mater Dei tournament. Teched his guy in the finals as an 8th grader, pretty impressive.

Brock Ervin @ 103 will be there for Union.

Brock Ervin can and will wrestle. The school board passed it where middle schoolers can compete at the high school level last year. He is around 107 right now after a growth spurt and will see first mat time at Caldwell county in two weeks with the jv while the varsity is at Harrison (IN) duals. Indiana doesn't allow middle schoolers to participate therefore he will be going with the JV to caldwell county's tournament. Look for a good showing out of that youngster. BTW ranger, Chad Gahafer at 112 is an 8th grader too. As always good job on the rankings

Mallory Ervin won miss kentucky last saturday. She is Luke and Gabe's sister. She is going to be competing in miss america the last weekend in January. You might remember her from state when she sang the National Anthem over the past years.

Roach from Indiana got 3rd so it might be last years 3rd place match

Logan Wedding and Brock Ervin finished their weekend out with national championships. Logan finished with 4 pins and a 4-0 victory in the finals while Brock finished with 3 pins and a major in the finals. Congrats to both of these guys.
