    Walton Verona Wrestling

I have heard that Dave Barnes is stepping down at Walton Verona and assistant coach Eric Cameron is returning to Moeller in Ohio. Does anyone have any details on this?

    Elder High School Coach

For those of us in the Northern KY area(especially those that wrestle across the river alot). I want to announce the Elder High School coach Dick McCoy has announced he is stepping down after 39 years of coaching. On a lighter note will this affect where Spatola ends up??

    Track Wrestling value

The SWOWCA uses Sikora . The advantages are no paper at all (if you have enough laptops), instant updating of team scores when matches end, and ability to get the results out quickly. The disadvantage is it's VERY expensive

    KY vs The world

I forgot to mention that Campbell Co will probably not be in the SWOWCA tournament next year. They have capped it at 40 teams and I'm told Campbell Co is 7th on the waiting list.

    KY vs The world

So I think we can all agree that our top 10 or 15 wrestlers can compete (or at lest keep it close) wtih most of the Ohio kids (as lon as they are not named Jordan on Schlater). Where we are lacking is once we get past this handful of very good kids the talend pool drops off quickly. For example in the state finals most of us knew who the champion would be going in and how many weight classes did we have where we thought 3 or 4 kids had a realistic shot?

    Region 6 Host

It was a very well run tournament the 2 day format meant we wern't there till the wee hours on Friday and didn't have to get up at 0 dark thirty on Sat. and yes we finished when it was still light out too. The only two big compaints were the weather and the officiating and both of those we have no control over

Qualifying for the state tourney= joke

The 32 man bracket does allow more kids to get to the sate tounament and in the new arena we wont have to deal with the eternal first round on just 4 mats. Another new factor will be a 2 instead of 3 day tournaent will some kids wear out faster? Will making weight only two times have an effect. No going back to the hotel betwen matches. It should be interesting.

    126

I was told TJ dropped to 126 to get Ahern to 132, Sanders to 138 ans Meiman to 145
