    Host a Leg Riding Camp

Are you interested in hosting a camp this year? I have open dates during all of July and August. Please complete this FORM: http://www.choosetop.com/host.php and I'll get back with you right away to set something up! Choose Top Leg Camp is the best place to learn how to throw legs and to learn how to defend a leg rider. The wrestlers who follow my system become very dangerous on top. Understanding this system is important even for wrestlers who don’t throw legs so that they are better equipped to defend themselves against it. You will learn 4 good positions, over 15 scoring moves and transitions between them, and over 15 ways to defend legs. The last two years have been a successful for former Choose Toppers… 14 state champs and at least twice that many state placers. At the Choose Top Leg Camp throwing legs is taught as a series of moves and positions. Most wrestlers learn leg moves at different times and pick up a few things on their own. This camp will show wrestlers how many of these moves work together and how to use one move to setup another. The technique is presented with a position-based philosophy rather than a scoring-based philosophy. You will learn to throw legs with the mentality to constantly improve good position rather than becoming impatient and giving up position. Learning to constantly improve position rather than just stay in good position will enable you to score without putting yourself in danger. Here are the basics… I teach 3 sessions that are 2 hours a piece. I charge $70 per wrestler. The host gets a special rate: a flat rate for all of your wrestlers. Complete the form to get a quote. Some More Information: What I teach: http://www.choosetop.com/technique.php State placers who have been to my camp: http://www.choosetop.com/honor.php

  9. Many of you are getting extra pounds due to inclement weather. Did you know that you might not be allowed to use your entire weight allowance if you have another match coming up soon? To find out that most you are really allowed to weigh at www.whatcaniweigh.com. I coach a high school team and I build websites on the side. I developed this over a weekend to help keep kids know where they need to be when they are dropping from one class to another. But I discovered people are using it when they get extra pounds to stay eligible for an upcoming event. If it is helpful do me a favor and share it on your facebook to spread the word.

    Weight Certification Max

Weight certification is around the corner. Wouldn't it be great if you weighed your certified weight at certification? Many of you are carrying some extra weight right now and end up not being able to wrestle your certified weight when the matches start because you weighed too much at certification. My calculator will help you prevent that from happening. It will show you how much you need to weigh at certification in order to wrestle your desired weight class at your first match, ASSUMING YOU ACTUALLY CERTIFIED FOR THAT DESIRED WEIGHT CLASS! 1) Go to http://www.whatcaniweigh.com 2) Select your state 3) Set Date #1 to the date you plan to certify 4) Set Date #2 to the date of your first match 5) Set the weight class you want to wrestle at your first match 6) Click Get Your Weight and scroll down to see the most you can weigh at certification and still wrestle your desired weight class at your first match IMPORTANT NOTES: !!! YOU STILL NEED TO CERTIFY FOR THAT WEIGHT CLASS !!! This calculator assumes that you actually certified for your desired weight class. Make sure you talk to your coach or trainer about how body fat and hydration effect the certification process. Also make sure you understand your state specific rules regarding weight certification.

  13. What Can I Weigh Calculator www.whatcaniweigh.com "This tool helped our team out this weekend. My 182 pounder has two weeks until he can wrestle that weight class. When he weighed out the night before weigh-ins we checked the weight calculator and he was over what he needed to be to stay on schedule. Had we not checked, he would have had to wait another week and we would have to forfeit that weight for another tournament. This tool can really help your team win more matches." -Coach Keel, Head Coach Skyline Wrestling
  14. My weekend project:www.whatcaniweigh.com it helps high school wrestlers figure out what they need to weigh to drop to a lower weight class. When you get there please use the feedback form to let me know if your state adjusts your allowable weight loss daily or weekly as well as if your state does not use the NWCA 1.5% per week guideline.
