I definately agree with this he deserved the mow without a doubt. but last year derek nickel didnt allow a single offensive point the whole tournament and teched pinned or majored all the way up to the finals. he was also the lowest ranked kid to ever win state and he just didnt get it. the coaches wont let it happen. region discrimination.

are you serious? you're going to be a wrestling fan and knock someone elses sport? Isn't this what we're always talking about with the basketball and football players? track is a very athletic sport tackling or not. im not trying to get into an argument or anything because people on here already dont like me, so i've dug myself a no win situation. I just thought it was odd of a wrestler/fan to downgrade someone elses sport as this is what we are always going through.

wont they likely both be at different weight classes? this should be an exciting match up for all of next year if not.

I think he fits the description well. He just slipped my mind for some reason. I remember the first time I saw him wrestle was at the Big East last year. I knew he was going to be something good. Its ashame he didnt start when he was a freshman or earlier. If he is this good in two years, imagine what 4 or more could have done for him. He may have been able to give Harrison Courtney a run for his money.

i agree very much with this pick. Back in my wrestling days... i wrestled him his sophomore year in a off season folkstyle tournament at Ryle county, we had a very close match going and he ended up beating me by 1 or 2, im not sure. The point being though, that he executed every thing he tried like he was going for the match winning takedown with 3 seconds left. Very good guy that Jarvis Elam. Classy too.

He might be one to watch out for next year.

I've come to accept the fact that the coaches will not allow a region 3 kid to win MOW. Thats all there is to that one.

I think that, by far, that is the worst, most uninformative, hateful, jerk, thing to say. Dusty said it best. As to why you would say something like that is beyond me. Thats just ridiculous to say. I think you should be kicked off here for openly verbally battering a good, honest, talented, relentless kid. When is the last time someone complained on him for being a cheater or unsportsmanlike? He hasn't gotten kicked off the team and let back on, or punched any kids or any of that and yet you target this young man? He must have smashed your son or something because you've got problems. I defy you to name 3 flaws with Dakota Choate.

Lots of people thought that Sullivan would never lose also. But he had his doubters as well.
