Check out the prosposal for next year weight classes.... The NFHS usually releases new rules in the spring. Last year the rule modifications were announced May 4th. Paul Beck -Mishwawka is currently ranked #1 in Indiana at 112. or Brandon Nelson-Lawrence north ranked #1 in Indiana at 119. Fahy is a very good wrestler but this thread is like comparing apples and oranges. also, where do you get your National rankings, I was just looking at win Mag. rankings? In closing...There is No "I" in team.

Indiana votes/eval, etc. officials. List comes out in december. Coaches(head coach only) places a point value 0-5. To work a state finals MUST have a certain total. this may have changed since I was involved.

Every year at the state tournament they announce wrestlers and their current ranking. I hope they use Rangers ranking........ The last several years they used Kentucky wrestling coaches ass.(Phil coomes) rankings. The past three years ranger has done a lot of work and research plus posted each week and caught alot of flack from the wrestling faithful. HE is the official ranking for the state of Kentucky. The Kentucky wrestling coaches ass is not existing and doesn't do anything for the coaches of Kentucky to promote the sport. Just one man opinion.

Interesting topic....... I have coached 30 plus years in Indiana and last three in Kentucky.....Couple of observations and comments: While in Indiana...Never, NEVER been to a tournament when you could not wrestle 3 or 4 because of 5 match rule. Poor planning on tournament organizer... Middle school kid DO NOT wrestle against High School students or in the state tournament....Let them be middle school kids. I think it is a wonderful thing there is a state middle school championship...But you need to run in more in a professional manner. Just my opion...
