Great tournament as always. Track shut down for 1.5 hours across the country. Still got out at decent time. Some stacked weights and many impressive. Great news is that at least 2 colleges there recruiting KY guys. MSJ coach Mason and Spence. and Coach Ruschell from UTC. They see the value and the talent. Great tournament as always.

I don't think there has ever been more than 2, maybe 3 at most. DI is brutal not to mention the Big Ten. To me, being healthy is one of the most important things. Good luck to Sean and John. Pulling for Lampe.

Nathan Boston entered at 141. 0-2

ON FLO 7. Sean Fausz, NC State over #9 Tim Lambert, Nebraska NC State had to have this match to down Nebraska and Fausz came up huge. He hung around against a very solid Lambert and was able to get the monster upset when his team needed it most. AWESOME SEAN !

I doubt if you can compete in off season right now but I don't think this has ever happened. This is NOT in the best interest of the KHSAA from any standpoint, money, logistics etc. What's done is done and quit complaining about it. I would be more concerned about the wrestlers, peaking out and weight control. This could definitely have a big X factor in that the kids that have trained and are peaking at the right time, need to make adjustments quickly. For those that have written the season off and already peaked out, time to regroup thoughts and mind set tonmake another run. For those that have not peaked out this season, it could be your lucky day. Overcome adversity and the mind right. Everyone is in the same boat! Good luck boys.

16 man bracket. Back to another qualifier. District region state or region semi state, state. Different venue. Or at all tech. Run 7 mats. 6 mats on side and 1 middle., not near podium so folks don't need binoculars.

I know its late but with the number of cancellations, WV has been unable to have a Senior Night Feb. 12th is really only option. Looking for a dual or tri. Contact coach Barnes.

Seeding is not perfect nor will it ever be. Look at how they seed some of the national level tourneys from MS to HS. Or even Track for that matter. Cream will always rise to the top, for someone to say it would be great for an underdog to make it to the finals, the underdog would in fact upset all of the top seeded wrestlers to the finals, not the other way around. At least the MS coaches are giving it a shot. The KHSAA will not even consider it, like always, its lopsided. But to take on the "seeding" is a major feat in itself. The same people complaining about the seeds would be the same people complaining about the draw, if in fact they received the raw end of the deal. Best of luck to all MS wrestlers, great to see level of competition rise to the occasion and for the coaches, admin and wrestlers for making this such a problem. When they introduce the 32 man bracket at the HS, some weight classes just had to weigh in to qualify for state, at the HS level. What a joke that was. You guys should be happy to have those problems to deal with, and attack them for the best of MS wrestling in the state.

This has been brought up several times at the HS level. 32 man bracket is dumb and a blind draw is even dumber. But I was proposing a format to where: to be eligible for seeding at the state, you must compete in X # of (Seed Tournaments). T A (seed) tournament would be... Dragon, Raider Rumble, WCI, etc. you get the idea. But who seeds it?
