Wildcat Rumble

Big thanks to Coach Seeney for taking a late entry. Truly accommodating. Coach Lantman did an outstanding job keeping the tournament moving. We got 5 matches in about 5 or 6 hours! For only having 2 mats, this tournament was ran very fast. Had plenty of time to go over the Ryle Rumble and see some of the Nations best high school wrestlers. Saw some really good talent at Woodland as well, the Duke kid at 98 is a monster! Coaches seemed to mind their manners yesterday, and the refs did a nice job as well. All around a great day.

Thank you very much!!  I'm glad you guys had a good experience.  We've worked really hard over the last two years at Woodland to put wrestling back on the map in Taylor Mill, and this tournament was a big step forward for our program.  We were looking to provide a solid, casual tournament for those teams who aren't quite ready to compete at an event like the Bearcat Brawl.  There were still quite a few very talented wrestlers  that were in attendance, and most of the finals matches were outstanging.  Congrats to Jacob Grandstaff for winning Most Outstanding Wrestler.  Oldham County won the team title, with the Hawks Wrestling Club and the host team, Woodland Wildcats finishing 2nd and 3rd.  I'll post the brackets at some point in time if anyone is interested.

I agree, the folks at Woodland did a great job at this tourney. Also a big shout out to Coach Seeney. It is not easy to run a tourney and coach your team too.  Adam did a great job keeping the matches moving and even had enough time to get to the finals for the Raider Rumble. We did get to see some great matches in the finals. But it was also very cool to see some kids getting medals for their first time ever. It will keep them working hard. Oldham did very well with the 1st place overall team finish.

Some kids that stood out, S Grandstaff at 70, J Grandstaff at 75, 86lb’er from Milford was a beast. Noah Duke was solid at 98, and the overtime battle in the 113 class. Please post the brackets when time allows.
