Cooper is NOT getting anyone from Conner!! For the past nine weeks I've done nothing but beg the districting committee to redistrict strictly around all the kids who attend Conner, since there numbers are already massively depleted. And the committee agreed! Sorry Cooper but don't hate on me
-
Any word on who the new coach is? I've heard from several people that they have hired one, and I know for sure that sometime next week there having a parent meeting for kids interested in wrestling next year...
-
I actually wondered this too, and according to some very respected officials through out the state they all agreed that Peace would win by at least a major! I believed that till I actually got to see Courtney wrestle at state and I was blown away by him. I think the match is close and its a toss up to who ever is having a better day. I couldn't bet one way or the other. I think pound for pound these two and Reid are the best in the state.
-
Then we agree to disagree... Grappler, your right...I think that each weight class would have three victories with the other two matches being toss ups. I would go with Carpenter over Daniels, and like you I dont know anything about the other match ups
-
I've heard both Mark Jones and Houchens will be there...I've heard 160-215 is stacked in the high school backets with several state placers and some Ohio and Indiana kids. I know Wayne County is bringing there whole team up as well

Kevin will be the best Cooper of the three other brothers ( Craig, Brad, and Neil) Thats saying something, cause there is 5 state champions and 7 finalists right there between them three -
Fahy would kill Brent Hitchings! I dont think Fahy would even touch Bradbury thou. Bradbury is really really good at the high school level and Fahy is exceptional at the middle school level. If Bradbury isnt at 103 next year then every look at the next 4 time state champ in Fahy
-
Yeah but i think Ryle is going to have the most state champs out of them schools.. I think its going to be between, Ryle and Union. I look for Union to for sure have one champ- Mitch Ervin, and for Ryle to have atleast 2- Reid and Peace. And i think that Aylor and Palmer can both make it to the finals, which will be huge in team points. Then you got point scores like osburne and pickett. Its going to fun to watch thou

What is going on with Team Kentucky this year?? Is there still going to be a team that goes to Nationals?? And what qualifications do you need to be on the team?? Thank you
-
Watch out for Aylor!!
-
Yeah didnt you see all of them there today wrestling???

Dont know about anyone else but there was some awesome finals matches! Not really a whole lot of blow outs, a lot of close matches. Little Cooper kept it close to Osburne then with a couple seconds left got a takedown and lost i think 4-7. Peace beat Shotwell 5-3, Shotwell got a takedown in the second but Peace was in control the entire time. Both kids are great wrestlers but Peace showed why he is one of the best in Kentucky, he got down and never lost his composure and battled back and one. Hats off to both guys. Palmer won close over Supe, he won by 5 and Vaughn/Dillion match was close 4-2. Overall i thought the refs did a good job. A couple of questionable calls in the finals. One was on one of the Supe's match. Takedown as time exp. i would have given it to him. Peace got an escape as time exp., which initially they didnt give him but overturned the call. And Dillion got a takedown and what looked like he exposed Vaughn's back for a second or two as time exp. and didnt get a takedown. But other than that it went smooth and the ref did a good job.
